Apparently, George Clooney will not be starring in Quentin Tarantino’s films in the near future. During a recent interview, the 63-year-old star of «Ocean's Eleven» stated that the 61-year-old experienced director can «go f*** himself» and explained why he is «annoyed» by him.
«Quentin recently said some crap about me, so I’m a little annoyed by him», - George told GQ in an article on the cover with Brad Pitt, published on Tuesday, August 13. «He gave an interview where he was talking about actors, and [Brad] and someone else, and then the interviewer asks, 'Well, what about George?' He says, 'He's not an actor'».
The «Descendants» actor continued, claiming that the director of «Django Unchained» literally said something like, «Name me a film since the millennium».
«And I was like, 'Since the millennium'? That’s my whole damn career», - George added. «So now I’m like, okay, dude, f*** off. I’m not afraid to tease him. He teased me».
Discussing his and Brad’s upcoming film «The Wolves», - George noted that they were «very lucky» to work with «great directors», - noting that «the director and the script are what keep you alive».
«And I realized this after shooting in several really bad movies», - pointed out the star of «Up in the Air». «You can’t make a good film out of a bad script. You can’t. You can make a bad film out of a good script».
It is unclear where and when Quentin allegedly said that George is not an «actor». They starred together in the 1996 film «From Dusk Till Dawn» and have not worked together since.
During his interview with GQ with Brad, 60, George admitted that Hollywood has changed since they started working in the industry.
«Well, they don’t develop stars like the studio system used to», - said George. «We were at the tail end of that, where you could work in a studio and make three or four films, and there was some sort of plan. And I don’t think that’s the case now. So now it’s harder to sell something based on a star».
Noting that «it's a great time to be a young actor», - George claimed that nowadays «there are 600 shows» on television and, therefore, «there is much more work for actors»
