Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, stars of the show «Bringing Up Bates», - shared an update on Gil’s condition following his heart attack. In a post on the family’s official Instagram page, published on October 9, they described how their days have been since the incident, noting that the family has been surrounded by love and support from their children and grandchildren.
The message stated that not every day has been calm, and Gil continued to work actively despite doctors' recommendations. He helped with the repair of a water pump, working late into the night. The family expressed gratitude to their sons who assisted Gil in this process, including digging a 600-foot trench to replace wiring and the pump.
Gil received a positive report during his follow-up visit to the doctor and will begin therapy next week. The family noted that they are aware of how much their lives could have changed if Gil had not received help in time.
Earlier in September, the Bates family reported that Gil experienced unusual symptoms in his chest and jaw but did not go to the hospital due to being busy. Ultimately, he decided to visit the emergency room, where doctors diagnosed him with a mild heart attack. As a result of the procedure, he had two stents placed due to significant artery blockage.
The family expressed gratitude for the support and prayers they received from friends and medical staff, emphasizing that they feel blessed that Gil was able to return home.
