Gilberto Nogueira de Oliveira wants to remarry his ex-wife

A resident of Brazil, Gilberto Nogueira de Oliveira, expressed his desire to remarry his ex-wife Dayane dos Santos Farias, who was arrested for cutting off his penis with a razor and flushing it down the toilet after learning of his infidelity.
The incident occurred in 2023 when Farias discovered her husband’s unfaithfulness on her birthday. In retaliation, she seduced Nogueira de Oliveira, tied his hands with underwear during intimacy, and, taking advantage of his helplessness, inflicted serious injuries on him. Farias surrendered to the police and confessed to her guilt, resulting in her being sentenced to four years and eight months in prison on December 22, 2023.
Despite the divorce, Nogueira de Oliveira continued to visit Farias in prison. In November 2025, after her early release, he reached out to her and expressed a desire to rekindle their relationship. Almost a year after her release, Nogueira de Oliveira announced plans to remarry Farias, using the money he received as compensation after photos of his mutilated penis were circulated.
Following the attack, Nogueira de Oliveira was urgently hospitalized, and doctors took photographs of his injuries. He later learned that these images had been sent to a WhatsApp group, leading to an investigation and a compensation payment of $ 20,000 from the Santa Casa de Atibaia medical center.
Nogueira de Oliveira also launched a fundraising campaign to cover wedding expenses, as the compensation was insufficient. He noted that he wanted more money to also repair his house. At the same time, he defended his decision to restore his relationship with Farias, claiming that she acted «in a fit of emotion».
