Gypsy Rose Blanchard responds to criticism from sister Ken Urquhart
Gypsy Rose Blanchard responded to criticism from Ken Urquhart’s sister, Osun Urquhart, who publicly condemned her behavior following his death. In an exclusive interview with Us, Blanchard stated, «Right now, I don’t want the attention surrounding Ken’s death to be focused on the negativity or disagreements between Osun and me». She noted that there had been significant tension between them, including public comments made by Osun about her in the months leading up to Ken’s death.

As reported by Us on October 1, Ken was found dead in his home in Louisiana on his 34th birthday. While Blanchard mourns his death, Osun accused her of lying about the circumstances of Ken’s death and made «disgusting» comments about her late boyfriend. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed due to an ongoing investigation.

Blanchard emphasized that her priority is to grieve for Ken, support their daughter, and honor his memory. She added that she continues to communicate with Ken’s family, and aside from her relationship with Osun, those communications have been positive and respectful during this difficult time.

Gypsy Rose and Ken began dating in 2018 while she was incarcerated for her involvement in her mother’s murder. They reunited in 2024 after her divorce from Ryan Anderson and became parents to their daughter, Aurora, in December of that year.

On Saturday, Blanchard also spoke about her «last phone call» with Ken just days before his death. She claims he was very upset about the situation with Osun and spoke about her threats to «intensify» public attacks against him. Blanchard noted that she can only speak about what Ken personally told her.

Additionally, Blanchard, who claimed that Ken became a victim of online harassment before his death, proposed new legislation to protect against cyberbullying. She emphasized that she would prefer to use her voice for this work and to preserve Ken’s legacy rather than continue a public family feud. «I sincerely hope that everyone can allow Ken to be remembered as a person and a father, rather than letting disagreements among those who loved him overshadow his life», - she added. Ken is survived by his 16-month-old daughter Aurora, as well as his parents and siblings.
