Gypsy Rose Blanchard launches petition after ex-fiancé's death
Gypsy Rose Blanchard announced her intention to honor the memory of her late ex-fiancé, Ken Urquhart, who passed away at the age of 34. On her Instagram on October 4, she wrote, «I only have my daughter and my voice ❤️‍🩹», - referring to her 16-month-old daughter, Aurora, and urged support for the «Kenan's Law» initiative.

Blanchard created a petition for «Kenan's Law», - aimed at combating online harassment and cyberbullying, claiming that Urquhart faced «a tremendous amount of online criticism» before his death. She noted that «messages were coming in on different platforms, and too often the response was simply, ‘No violations.' Kenan’s Law is intended to change how social media handles repeated reports of harassment».

Blanchard also explained her intentions, urging followers to «sign and share» the petition. «Ken's death made me determined to turn pain into purpose», - she wrote. At the time of publication, the petition on Change.org had gathered 382 signatures.

«Kenan's Law will require lawmakers to establish stricter procedures for how major social platforms handle serious and repeated reports of harassment», - she clarified in the description on the site. Blanchard called on lawmakers to consider requirements including reporting on patterns, human review, meaningful appeals, and transparency.

Urquhart, who became the father of Aurora in 2024, was found dead in his home in Louisiana on his 34th birthday. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed due to an ongoing investigation. Blanchard previously wrote on Instagram, «Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved».
