Glen Powell spoke about his reluctance to discuss politics, noting that it divides people. In an interview for Esquire published on October 8, the actor stated, «Over time, I’ve realized that politics divides people. People are trying to prove their point of view — for me, that’s the worst version of a conversation. I genuinely don’t like this discourse. It’s not as healthy as it once was».
Powell added that it is currently «not possible» to engage in certain discussions due to their politicization. He praised those who actively fight for their beliefs but emphasized that his calling lies elsewhere. «If I were a political person, I would talk about it. For me, my calling is in something else», - he noted.
Instead of activism, Powell is focused on his career in Hollywood as an actor and screenwriter. He expressed a desire to bring people together through his projects, adding that he is working on creating content that will be interesting to audiences.
The actor also shared that he receives full support from his family and girlfriend Michelle Randolph. «Life is fast for both of us, and we share the same values», - he said about his relationship with Randolph, with whom he started dating at the end of last year and made their joint debut on social media in June.
Randolph, in turn, highlighted the importance of keeping personal life private. «I think it’s really important for peace of mind to keep that separate», - she said in an interview with InStyle in January.
