«The Hunger Games: Dawn at the Reaping» — a new film by Francis Lawrence

The movie «The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes», directed by franchise veteran Francis Lawrence, will be released next year.
Although this is the newest film in the series, the plot takes us back in time, decades before Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, volunteered as a tribute. This prequel focuses on a young Haymitch Abernathy, a character played by Woody Harrelson in the original films, and the brutal 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.

Under the direction of Joseph Zada as young Haymitch, the prequel features a fresh cast of rising stars and familiar faces entering the world of Panem. Here’s who will be playing in this highly anticipated return to the arena.
Zada, a 20-year-old Australian actor, plays the role of young Haymitch Abernathy, the only male tribute from the 12th district in the 50th Hunger Games. Zada has previously appeared in Australian productions such as «Invisible Boys» and «Full Control». He will also star in the upcoming series «We Were Liars» and «East of Eden», where he will act alongside Florence Pugh.
Whitney Peak, 22, plays Lenore Dove Baird, a friend of Haymitch and a member of the Covey, a musical group from the 12th district. Peak is known for her roles in the reboot of «Gossip Girl» and «The Witcher 2».
MaKenna Grace plays Maisie Donner, another tribute from the 12th district and a temporary ally of Haymitch during the games. At just 18 years old, Grace is already an experienced film and television actor, with standout roles in «Ghostbusters: Afterlife», «The Handmaid’s Tale», and «Young Sheldon»
