Makena’s friend described her as a «unique individual», - adding that «she had a rare ability to make you feel special, and her huge heart was always overflowing with love».
«Being loved by Makena was a gift; it brought endless laughter, so much joy, and a healthy dose of chaos as we tried to keep up with her travel schedule», - the caption continued. «If you would like to honor Makena’s memory, donations to the Bruyer Brain and Memory Health Clinic or the Griffin Bella Foundation would mean a lot. Jake released a statement to People magazine after Makena’s unexpected death. He described his late girlfriend as «such a caring person, whose selflessness towards others I will always cherish».
«We shared so many unforgettable memories together, and now, with her not here with us, it’s hard to grasp», - his statement continued. «She had an incredible family, wonderful friends, and her fun, energetic spirit will be greatly missed by all of us. It’s an understatement to say how difficult it is for all of us who knew Makena to realize all of this, especially her family and friends, who deserve privacy and respect during this difficult time».
