When it comes to the popular Girl Scouts cookie season, enthusiasts quickly snatch up their favorite flavors with enthusiasm. Find out if you’ll need to stock up on a large quantity of flavors this year before they are discontinued!
Two types of Girl Scout cookies have been selected for early retirement from the market in just a few years — these are the flavors S’mores and Toast-Yay. The name of the S’mores cookie speaks for itself. In fact, when you take a bite, you are transported back to summer camp days. This tasty treat, which debuted in 2015, includes marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker as its base. As for the flavor inside the Toast-Yay cookie, if you guessed it was inspired by French toast, you’re right! This cookie is perfect for a delicious breakfast on the go.
The Girl Scout cookie season officially began and will last from January to April. The two flavors S’mores and Toast-Yay will be officially discontinued by the end of April, so you can still hurry to buy them before they disappear forever. All orders for the retiring flavors must be placed by April, either through the Girl Scouts website or in person at the cookie booth, according to ABC.
If the retiring cookie flavors make you want others, you still have 10 options to choose from, but don’t let Cookie Monster pass you by. There are five favorite flavors, including Thin Mints, Caramel deLites/Samoas (my personal favorite), Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs, Adventurefuls, and Peanut Butter Sandwiches/Do-si-dos, according to the Girls Scout website.
