Gypsy Rose Blanchard is going to be a mom! She announced that she is pregnant for the first time through a video on her YouTube channel, which was published on Tuesday, July 9. This will be the first child for both Gypsy and her partner Ken Urcer.
The 32-year-old Gypsy shared, «Ken and I are expecting our first child in January 2025… It was completely unplanned, it was totally unexpected, but we are both very excited to start this new journey of parenthood».
The expectant mother, at 11 weeks of pregnancy, was in a relationship with her former partner Ryan Anderson, whose relationship was documented as deteriorating and leading to a breakup during her documentary series «Gypsy Rose’s Life After Prison», - where they argued, especially over her former fiancé, 31-year-old… Gypsy and Ken, who were initially engaged but called off the engagement, reunited in April of this year after she was released from prison in December 2023.
She told People magazine in May, «I would say Ken is my first love, because that’s when I truly felt mature love. It wasn’t based on fantasy. It was a real feeling of connection between two people».
Gypsy’s announcement came shortly after fans speculated that she was pregnant with Ryan after he posted a photo on his Instagram, where he placed his hand on her stomach. In the caption, fans thought he was hinting that she might have a «bun in the oven». «Me and my little family snuggling up», - he wrote.
Gypsy openly talked about her desire to have children in an interview with People magazine in December 2023, shortly before her release: «It's hard because I’m starting a new life, I recently got married, and I will have children someday, and I will have to explain to my children why their grandmother from their mom’s side is not around. And that will be a very difficult conversation», - she said.
Now, as she prepares for motherhood, she revealed in her video announcement, «I know there will be people who feel like I’m not ready to be a mother… and I don’t know if anyone is really ready to be a mother… Everything I wanted to see in a mother, I want to give to this child… I am now a mother, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother to my child.
