Gypsy Rose Blanchard opens up about her sexuality. After spending seven years behind bars for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, in 2015, the reality show star said she learned a lot about herself during her incarceration.

«Much of femininity is about learning to be comfortable with your sexuality, and for a long time I wasn’t», - she said in the June 10 episode of «Gypsy Rose: Life After Prison» on Lifetime. «For a long time, I doubted my sexuality because when I was a teenager, I felt attracted to girls and could explore that in prison. I think I kissed more girls than guys».

Since masturbation is prohibited in prison, the 32-year-old Gypsy said she had low sexual desire during her confinement.

However, when she was released in December 2023, Gypsy said she began to realize her sensuality. «I'm discovering new things about myself», - she said. «I'm a freak!»

Three months after her release from prison, Gypsy filed for divorce from Ryan Anderson. They got married in July 2022 while she was incarcerated. After their split, Gypsy rekindled her relationship with Ken Urcer, whom she was engaged to in 2018.

«When did I realize he was the one? Maybe the day I met him in 2017», - she told E! News in May. «Ken and I have always maintained a friendship».

«It became clear to me only after I filed for divorce that the spark, this connection [with Ken], was even better than I expected», - added Gypsy. «We both grew up and became more mature. And now, I think it’s the right time, the right place, everything is right».

As for why Gypsy continues to document her life in front of the cameras, the Lifetime reality star said she was tired of the «prison labels» people put on her. Through her show, she wanted to show that «I am more than that».

«I am going to start a new chapter in my life, a new look, a new me, a new style, everything new», - she told The Hollywood Reporter in May. «So I think showing people and taking them on this journey was important to me… Cameras following me almost daily show events that everyone has heard about but didn’t know everything that was said. It really invites viewers on a very intimate journey. And for me, it was important to show, no, this is who I am».
