Gypsy Rose Blanchard revealed that she is fully committed to her «True Love» Ken Urker in her first video, which she launched on her YouTube channel on Thursday, June 27.
«I filed for divorce and followed my heart to true love… I felt that I made this choice as a free woman. I made this choice as an independent woman, and I think everyone should follow their heart», - she expressed to her viewers.
The 32-year-old Gypsy Rose was married to Ryan Anderson — they got married in 2022 — who initially reached out to her with a letter while she was imprisoned for the murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard. Despite finally being able to enjoy family life after being released from prison in December 2023, their relationship deteriorated.
«Life is too short to be sad or feel trapped in something in your life. I was in a marriage that didn’t make me happy, and I knew my heart was somewhere else. And I followed that», - she said in the video.
They were caught arguing several times in the documentary series «Gypsy Rose: Life After Prison», - and one of the main reasons was her ex, Ken.
«I don’t regret my relationship with Ryan, but I regret that we got married so quickly in prison. Living with someone is completely different… now, looking back, I understand where [people] were coming from», - Gypsy told Entertainment Tonight.
Filing for divorce and a restraining order from Ryan in April, she was seen rekindling her relationship with Ken at the jazz and heritage festival in New Orleans by the end of that month.
This, of course, affected Ryan’s feelings, as he told ET: «It was like 'I'll stay at my parents' for the weekend,' and then 'I'm not coming back'. It was shocking how quickly it went from that to now 'I'm with Ken and in love with him'».
Despite the difficulties she faced with her ex-husband, she claims that she is now in her «happiest» state.
Gypsy Rose even took on the responsibility of taking care of Ken’s dog, Parker. She said in her video: «We kind of share Parker. Parker is not mine, but since I’m dating him, I — being the girl — take on the role of mom for Parker», - she noted
