Halsey has dealt with several health issues and setbacks over the years, but it has not affected her career. The artist of «Gasoline», who prefers she/her and they/them pronouns, openly talks about her lupus condition, T-cell disorder, endometriosis, and other problems.

In September 2025, Halsey updated fans through TikTok that she is undergoing chemotherapy before her «Back to Badlands» tour.

«Just popping in to give you another update. [I] just had a few more rounds of chemotherapy», - the singer said. «[I] got a new port installed. My birthday is in a couple of days. I’ve been so busy, I haven’t even thought about it».

Halsey also joked about her fiancé, Alev Aydin’s comment about her upcoming tour, which will start in October 2025 at the Hollywood Forever cemetery in Los Angeles.

«A really funny story, Alev and I were driving around LA the other day, and he pointed to Hollywood Forever cemetery, [and] looked at me and said, 'You'll be there soon'», - Halsey recalled. After expressing her initial shock at the comment, the «Without Me» hitmaker added, «He was like 'Oh my god, I meant for your show, for the first show of your tour'. I was like 'Oh, okay, that’s much better than I thought you meant'. Can’t wait to be there soon».

Halsey has been diagnosed with the following health issues over the years: endometriosis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjögren's syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome).

Endometriosis is a chronic condition where cells similar to the lining of the uterus grow outside of it. This leads to pain during menstruation and fertility problems, among other issues.

Systemic lupus erythematosus is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks tissues and organs in the body. Lupus patients may develop joint and/or muscle pain, rash, fatigue, and several other symptoms.

According to Healthline, lymphoproliferative disorders «are a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled production of white blood cells called lymphocytes», - and this can include leukemia and lymphoma.

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of inherited disorders that typically affect the skin, joints, and blood vessels. According to the Mayo Clinic, people with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome have stretchy and fragile skin.

Sjögren's syndrome is another autoimmune disease that typically affects the glands. The disease usually causes dry eyes and dry mouth.

According to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, MCAS is a condition where the patient experiences recurring episodes of anaphylaxis symptoms — allergic symptoms such as hives, swelling, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing, and severe diarrhea.
