HBO is pulling off a magical trick with the upcoming television adaptation of Harry Potter. Now that the famous wizarding world is transitioning to the small screen, fans have learned who will be playing some of the adult characters at Hogwarts, including Dumbledore and Snape.
«We are excited to announce the casting of John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Papa Essiedu, Nick Frost, Luke Tallon, and Paul Whitehouse in the roles of Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Hagrid, Quirrell, and Filch», - showrunner and executive producer Francesca Gardiner and director and executive producer Mark Milod said in a statement. «We are thrilled to have such outstanding talent on board, and we look forward to seeing how they bring these beloved characters to life».
