A month after the sudden death of Hayden Panettiere, who passed away at the age of 36, a farewell ceremony for the actress will take place this weekend.
According to TMZ, close friends and family will gather at a church in Malibu to say their final goodbyes. About 150 people are expected to attend the memorial, including her father Skip Panettiere. The source reports that Hayden’s mother, Lesley Vogel, and her boyfriend Brian Hickerson were not invited.
Hayden Panettiere died in August at an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina. Previously obtained audio recordings from dispatchers indicated that it was a case of a person with a «heart attack», - and there were mentions of «overdose» and «CPR in progress». Naloxone was also found in the apartment where Hayden was located.
According to a report from the Greenville police, Brian and his brother Zach Hickerson were present when the actress died. During a conversation with the police, Brian showed them a «package of medications» that Hayden was reportedly taking. The names of the medications were redacted in the report, but nine were listed.
Sources have reported that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is working alongside ongoing investigations by the Greenville police and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy has been conducted, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.
