Hayden Panettiere fondly remembered at memorial in Malibu

Hayden Panettiere was fondly remembered at a special memorial event on Saturday in Malibu, but three notable figures were absent. According to People, the actress’s mother, Leslie Vogel, did not attend the ceremony, nor did her boyfriend Brian Hickerson and his brother Zach Hickerson, who were with her at the time of her death on August 16 from an alleged fentanyl overdose.

According to TMZ, Leslie claimed she was invited to the event but could not attend due to a family emergency. Hayden’s father, Skip Panettiere, was invited and present at the ceremony.

Among the guests who attended the memorial were her co-stars from the series «Nashville» Connie Britton, Jonathan Jackson, and Sam Palladio, as well as Ruby Rose, Evan Ross, Beverly D’Angelo, Storm Santos, Carolina D’Amore, Cameron Richardson, and Paris Hilton. Britton delivered a speech, as did actor Charles Esten, who also performed a song from «Nashville».

According to TMZ, around 150 guests witnessed the release of doves during the open portion of the ceremony. A few days earlier, TMZ reported that Panettiere allegedly died after taking just one pill of oxycodone laced with fentanyl.
