Heather Gay comments on Whitney Rose’s divorce from her husband

Heather Gay commented on the news of her co-star from «The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City», - Whitney Rose, getting divorced from her husband Justin Rose. During the broadcast of «Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen» on October 7, she admitted that she was surprised by the decision, as she thought the couple was simply going through a period of estrangement.
Heather noted that she had been in touch with Whitney and understands how difficult divorce can be. She expressed her support for her friend, saying, «Divorce is very, very hard. I can’t imagine doing it publicly, with kids and everything else».
According to Us magazine, Whitney, 39, officially filed for divorce in Utah after 16 years of marriage to Justin, who is 58. The filed documents include a proposed parenting plan for their two children—a 16-year-old daughter named Bobby and a 13-year-old son named Brooks.
Heather also shared that she learned about the divorce during an interview on SiriusXM. She confessed that she thought the couple was just working on their relationship, which upset her. Heather herself went through a divorce in 2011 that was finalized in 2014, and she noted that her own divorce process was very slow and private to protect the children.
Whitney had previously stated that despite the separation, she and Justin continue to co-parent their children and are «nesting» together so that their children’s lives do not change. She added that the events leading up to their separation will be shown in the seventh season of the show.
