Hoda Kotb announced her plans to leave the show «Today» to dedicate more time to her family. In a video posted on X by Today, the 60-year-old woman expressed her desire to focus on her family, stating: «I have a new decade of life ahead of me, and now my daughters and my mom need and deserve more attention from me». After several years on the show, the mother of two realized that it was time to prioritize her daughters. This decision emphasizes how Hoda values family in difficult times and how she thrives in motherhood, which began later in life at the age of 52.
«Sometimes I wonder, 'How did this happen? How did I become a parent?'» Hoda said about becoming a parent to E News. «Before, I almost felt unworthy of it. But not anymore. Something happened in me, and I realized that I deserve these children, I deserve myself. I am good enough as I am. I will raise and love these little girls as long as God allows me to have them, as long as I am here».
She is also very open to adopting another child to expand her family! Or at least, she was playing with this idea in 2020, when she was still engaged to her boyfriend of nine years, financier Joel Schiffman. «We were wondering, you know, would our family be better with another child?
