Halle Berry responded to her ex-husband Olivier Martinez’s claim of physical abuse against their 12-year-old son Maceo. In court documents obtained by «Extra», - Martinez alleges that Berry physically abused Maceo.
Berry’s attorney, Marina Beck, called these allegations «absolutely baseless and intentionally misleading» in an interview with TMZ. She noted that there is ample evidence, including court rulings, confirming that Martinez has repeatedly violated court orders and interfered with necessary therapeutic and educational interventions, negatively impacting their son. Beck added that such actions are not surprising for someone with a well-documented history of inappropriate and aggressive behavior.
In the documents, Martinez claims that Berry caused «emotional and mental distress due to physical abuse of our minor child». He also stated that Berry «physically abused Maceo by jumping on him, wrapping her hands around his neck, and choking him» on September 26. As part of his demands, Martinez is seeking sole custody of Maceo.
Martinez’s attorney, Patrick Baghdaserian, emphasized in a statement to «Extra» that his client is focused on ensuring the child’s health and safety. He added that it is important for Berry to receive help in managing her anger and controlling her impulses, which he believes will benefit both her and their son.
