A Texas resident, Holly Flores, was arrested after allegedly stabbing her two children, including a 10-month-old infant, and her husband at their home in Northlake. The incident occurred on the morning of October 6, when Flores’s husband called the police to report the attack.
According to authorities, her husband was injured in the head, and the children sustained stab wounds to the chest. All three survived and were taken to the hospital. Northlake Police Chief Robert Crawford stated at a press conference that, according to him, the children’s injuries are not life-threatening, and they are under observation in the hospital.
Flores, 37, was arrested within minutes of the police’s arrival. She was also found with injuries and taken to the hospital before being placed in the Denton County jail. She faces two counts of first-degree attempted murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon.
Crawford noted that police had visited Flores’s home five times in the past seven months regarding family welfare. He added that Flores allegedly injured her husband while he was trying to move the children to another room during the attack. The motives for the incident have not yet been clarified. The police are continuing their investigation. It is unclear whether Flores has an attorney.
