Howie Mandel will never forget that wild night in Las Vegas. The judge of «America's Got Talent» explained how his wife, Terry Mandel, ended up bleeding in the famous city during the couple’s recent trip.
«First of all, she wasn’t drunk», - said Howie, 68, on Tuesday, June 18, in an episode of TMZ Live. «She's so worried that people will think she was drunk. She doesn’t have a drinking problem. I’ll tell you the truth. She took some edibles. It’s not a drinking problem. She was under the influence of marijuana».
This explanation came the day after Howie appeared on Live With Kelly and Mark and shared the story of how his wife got injured while in Sin City. Staying at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel, Howie recalled waking up to find his wife injured and bleeding in their room.
«I woke up, turned on the light, and looked around the bed», - he recalled to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on June 17. «She's lying face down in the corner. I didn’t know she cut her head. Blood is pooling. I’m in a panic. I pick her up, put her on the bed. Blood everywhere. I go and grab all the towels. All the towels are covered in blood».
Calling the front desk for emergency help, Howie received a visit from security outside his door.
«The next second, they’re knocking on the door», - the comedian recalled. «I open the door, standing there in my underwear. I open the door, and there are 10 security people. … I see people taking pictures of the blood on the floor».
Ultimately, Howie was able to take his wife to the hospital to treat her broken cheekbone. Additionally, security determined that the TV host was not responsible for his wife’s injuries.
«In the middle of the night, she got up, and I don’t know where she was going. But she was heading towards the wall», - he explained. «She fell and hit the panel. I know this because I watch HGTV».
Today, Terry «feels good» and can laugh about the incident that could only happen in Las Vegas. «She's recovered», - Howie added. «No scar. She’s beautiful»
