Hudson Williams faced backlash after an old photo surfaced online this week. The image, taken during his teenage years, shows the 25-year-old actor with a swastika drawn on his forehead and other marker drawings.
Although Hudson has not publicly commented on the controversial photo, a friend of the actor told TMZ, «These marks never reflected and do not reflect Hudson’s beliefs, values, or character».
According to sources close to the Canadian, the school incident is described as a case where a group of teenagers was engaging in «foolishness» under the influence of alcohol. It was also noted that students from Hudson’s small town participated in an annual «camping» event that included alcohol, parties, and drawing on each other with markers.
People close to Hudson told TMZ that he is aware of «the pain and disappointment this photo has caused and deeply regrets it». The publication added that he «does not endorse or support» the image of the swastika or any offensive imagery.
After a rapid rise to fame due to his role as Shane Hollander in the series «Heated Rivalry», - Hudson and his co-stars Connor Story, Robbie G.K., and François Arnaud saw a sharp increase in their social media followers. However, they also faced online trolls, some of whom reportedly left racist comments about Hudson, who has Korean roots on his mother’s side.
In March, Hudson and François released a joint statement on Instagram Stories condemning the harsh online remarks.
«Don't call yourself a fan if you share racist/homophobic/biphobic/misogynistic/ageist/discriminatory/prejudiced comments of any kind», - they wrote. «None of us need your hateful 'love.' We all respect, support, and love each other and are on the same side. If you can’t accept that, get lost».
«Heated Rivalry» premiered in November 2025 and is based on Rachel Reid’s «Game Change» book series. The show has become one of the most talked-about series in the past year, with the 5th episode of the first season even ranking among the top-rated TV shows of all time on IMDb, competing with an episode of «Breaking Bad».
The second season is expected to be released in April 2027
