A comprehensive new study conducted by BonusFinder US shows that 63.5% of voters are willing to accept legal online casinos, with support from all demographic groups for potential revenue of $ 1.5 billion.
In true Illinois style, residents show that Midwestern practicality surpasses political division! While our neighbors in Michigan are already enjoying the digital gold rush of gambling, Illinois voters are sending a clear message: it’s time for the Prairie State to take its rightful place in online casinos.
During the BonusFinder survey, participants were asked to choose up to three priorities reflecting what they believed to be the most necessary aspect for directing tax revenue.
When asked what they would do, people responded. Voters clearly defined their priorities from the start.
Funding public education (61.4%) Supporting mental health services and addiction treatment (54.8%) Repairing deteriorating infrastructure (44%)
Interestingly, 26% of survey respondents in Illinois admit that they are ALREADY playing on unregulated online casinos! This is money leaking directly from public coffers and into the pockets of offshore operators.
Why make residents risk with dubious offshore sites when the state could provide safe, regulated services? Illinois voters are not playing naively. They want reliable protection:
The message is clear: «YES to online casinos AND do it smartly».
The clock is ticking, and with each passing day, Illinois is leaving millions of potential tax revenues on the table. Voters have spoken — will legislators listen?
Survey methodology: BonusFinder.com surveyed 1,000 Illinois residents in April 2025, representing various age groups, gender, political affiliations, and geographical locations throughout the state
