Learn about their marriage and three beautiful children below.
Allison, a contemporary dancer, participated in the show «So You Think You Can Dance» in 2006 and placed eighth, while Stephen was a semifinalist on the popular show two years later. That same year, Allison gave birth to her first and only daughter named Wesley from her then-fiancé. In 2010, both dancers were invited back to the show as stars to dance alongside the best contestants of the season. Allison immediately became interested in Stephen.
«I didn’t just do one move—I probably did about 10 moves, but he didn’t notice them, so I had to show off even more», - she recalled in a 2012 interview with Dance Spirit. «From the first week of SYTYCD as stars, I thought he was the cutest guy in the world. His personality was so fun».
According to Stephen, he and Allison met a few years earlier at a party hosted by season two contestant Ivan Koumaev. «We met there for the first time, but Allison doesn’t remember», - he claimed in an interview with Dance Spirit. «We met again during the seventh season, but we didn’t say a word to each other the entire season. So I didn’t know she was interested because she wasn’t talking to me». Stephen also mentioned that he once caught Allison looking at him in the hallway.
In the summer of 2010, both talented dancers attended the premiere of the film «Step Up 3D», - in which Stephen was a dancer, and the contestants of «So You Think You Can Dance» came to support him. Although the couple admitted they didn’t interact at the event, Allison decided she could no longer hold back her interest in Stephen. «I got his number and texted him that I was proud of him and that he looked great that night», - she confessed.
The couple met again at the «So You Think You Can Dance» season wrap party later that year, and the timing was just perfect. «We danced at the season wrap party for 'So You Think You Can Dance,' and we’ve been together ever since», - Stephen excitedly shared in 2018. Allison added, «There was no dialogue, no conversation or first meeting. We just danced, and the next day we were already holding hands. And we never looked back».
This dynamic couple got engaged in June 2013 and married on December 10, 2013, at the Villa San Juliette winery in Paso Robles, California. The couple surprised their guests with a self-choreographed dance to Justin Bieber’s hit «Somebody to Love», - which also included Allison’s daughter Wesley. Their official first dance was to Adele’s «One & Only».

On the outside, their marriage seemed full of love and happiness. They were also not shy about public displays of affection. For example, in 2019, Allison bought her husband an advertisement on a bus bench in North Hollywood that he would see every day on his way to work on the Ellen show. «Honestly, when I thought about the perfect gift for your birthday, I wanted to do something fun, playful, and silly», - Allison wrote in the caption of her post about Stephen’s birthday, accompanying it with a video of the unique gift.
«You make our family laugh and smile every day, and I wanted the gift to reflect the love we share, so it felt right! The bus bench», - she continued. «I hope every time you walk by, you remember our love and smile a little. Happy birthday, Stephen, enjoy your bus stop!»
