Actress Jenna Ushkowitz is expecting her second child with husband David Stanley, the couple’s representative told People magazine.
«I was actually on vacation in New York, visiting my family… And when I was packing, I had a Clearblue Early Digital pregnancy test in the closet, and I thought, 'Let me take it just in case'», - recalled 38-year-old Jenna the moment she felt the need to take a pregnancy test.
She continued: «So I took it, and a day before the end of the trip, I thought, 'There's something very familiar about this feeling, let me just take this test'. I did. And when the 'pregnant' message appeared, my jaw dropped… I was shocked. And, of course, happy».
The couple, who got married in 2021, are raising their two-year-old daughter Emma — they always try to cover her face in photos they post on social media. They welcomed Emma in June 2022 and announced her arrival on Instagram with the caption «Our hearts burst with happiness».
Now Emma seems to «understand that there is a baby growing in mommy’s belly».
The expectant mother of two expressed that her little girl «says, 'I'm a big girl. I’m a big sister'. And she understands that there will be a baby. So, in a way, she understands what’s happening. She will soon understand everything».
Going through pregnancy for the second time, the parents were extremely happy to learn about their expectation. Actress Tina Chang told the magazine: «He [David] was upstairs, and when he came down, I still had a shocked look on my face, and he said, 'No, no way'… He just knew and was so, so happy. We were so happy that our daughter will become a big sister and our family will expand. It’s really, really special».
During this pregnancy, she claimed to feel «more calm» and «more confident», unlike her first pregnancy when she experienced different symptoms. «You don’t go through the same journey every time, because each child is unique. And that’s why it was something I didn’t expect at all», - she added on the matter
