Jennifer Lawrence’s fantasy about Real Housewives will soon become a reality. A long-time fan of this franchise reality show will produce and star in a detective film that is reportedly inspired by Real Housewives. The film is called «Wives». Apple Original Films has acquired the rights to produce it, and it will be co-produced by A24 and Apple, according to Deadline.
Jennifer is the only confirmed cast member of the film, and details of her role are still being kept secret.
Since the project is still in the pre-production stage, the release date has not been set yet. Producer Jeremy O. Harris tweeted that the film «is the result of almost 7 years of work and one of the first major examples of what I’ve been working on in these 'quiet' years». He added, «So excited for all of you to find out where this train is heading».
The Hunger Games star has expressed her enthusiasm for the reality show franchise for many years. One of the first times she talked about her fascination with Housewives was during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Lawrence spoke with host Ellen DeGeneres about her alter ego when she’s drunk, noting that being «too drunk with Housewives» is «something [she] always dreamed of saying».
