Jesse Plemons didn’t jump on the Hollywood Ozempic bandwagon, he explained during a recent interview. In a conversation with the Los Angeles Times, the 36-year-old actor noted that it was «unfortunate» to see assumptions that he used a weight loss drug, according to his interview published on Thursday, June 13.

«It's really unfortunate that I decided to get healthy when everyone else decided to take Ozempic», - joked the actor, who starred in «Civil War». «It doesn’t matter. Everyone will still think I took Ozempic».

Jesse then explained how his approach to health has changed.

«But the thing is, as I get older, and — I don’t even like to get specific, because then it turns into a whole story — but there was a moment when I couldn’t imagine myself in the size I was», - he explained. «A few people told me about intermittent fasting, and I just tried it and was surprised at how quickly it worked. So I lost a little weight before playing this role, and then felt like I was on the right path, I felt better, and something changed in my mind. I just kind of got myself together».

Although the «Breaking Bad» alum did not specify where he saw accusations of using Ozempic, many social media users have expressed their thoughts on his weight loss over the past few months. Earlier this year, several X users speculated that he chose semaglutide for weight loss.

«Don't get me wrong, Jesse Plemons is now beautiful, but he was much more attractive before he was hit by a car called Ozempic», - wrote one X user in March. A month later, another user added: «Last night I had a dream that Jesse Plemons confessed to me that he uses Ozempic, and I said, 'Hey, brother, it’s okay, we’re all just trying to make it to payday.'»

Jesse, who is married to actress Kirsten Dunst, is known for his creepy roles. In «Breaking Bad» he played Todd Alquist: an indifferent killer and meth cook. In 2021, he appeared in «The Power of the Dog» as agent Thomas Bruce White Sr. He recently appeared in «Civil War» alongside his wife in an uncredited cameo as a callous racist militia member
