The reason for the cancellation of «The ReidOut» remains unclear, as MSNBC has not released an official statement. Joy, known for her outspoken criticism of President Donald Trump, is facing these changes after the departure of the network’s former president Rashida Jones, with Rebecca Cutler taking her place.
This news also comes amidst a wave of well-known journalists and news anchors leaving major cable networks, including Hoda Kotb from NBC, Norah O’Donnell from CBS, Chris Wallace from CNN, Neil Cavuto from Fox News, and many others.
Insiders told Variety and Deadline that the hosts of «The Weekend» program, Simon Sanders-Townsend, Alicia Menendez, and Michael Stile, are expected to take over at 7:00. Joy’s final evening show is expected to air this week.
