Joy Reid, known for her show on MSNBC «The ReidOut», was first removed from the network’s primetime lineup, and then was forced to leave the network altogether.
On February 25th, NPR reported that Reid was actually fired from MSNBC shortly after her show was canceled.
«Joy Reid is leaving the network, and we thank her for her countless contributions over the years», - said MSNBC President Rebecca Cutler in a memorandum to staff. «Her work has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the recently received NAACP Image Award 2025 for outstanding news series».
