Julia Fox has just showcased yet another hairstyle, and this one may be her boldest yet.
The 34-year-old actress recently ditched her platinum blonde locks and returned to brunette, sharing a photo of her updated look on Instagram Stories on Tuesday.
In a mirror selfie, Fox showed off her new dark brown hair, which was layered and styled into soft waves. The «Uncut Gems» star opted for a more casual look this time, ditching her usual bright or revealing outfits in favor of a loose graphic sweatshirt. Although she looked fresh, her hands were covered in a few bandages, visible as she held the phone.
In her last three social media posts, Julia showcased a range of more original looks, each hairstyle different from the last.
She truly shows variety.
Fox is known for her unconventional looks, previously debuting with bleached eyebrows and silver hair.
And perhaps the brunette look will attract more attention from those familiar with Fox. Initially, she did not provide an explanation for the change, the only detail being her tagging of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
InStyle magazine posted a photo on their Instagram with the caption: «Looks like @juliafox got a new brunette hairstyle and considering she’s in Canada, not home in New York, we’re assuming she… at work? 💇🏻♀️»
Quickly explaining her 'normal' look, Julia replied to the post: «I'm at work lol».
It is unclear what project she is currently working on that required a hairstyle change, but she worked on Jordan Peele’s latest project, «Nope», - starring Marlon Wayans.
She recently mentioned turning down a project with a «big name» due to alleged racism from a white director in a conversation about diversity.
«Okay, so this just happened to me… I was attached to a project for five years. I put creative input, emotional input into it, it was like my baby», - she began in a recent video posted on TikTok.
«I even brought a big, big star to play alongside me, and everything was going well until this white director showed up».
Fox refused to name the person she was referring to because she did not want to «ruin it» for other people involved in the project.
We hope that whatever she is currently working on and with whom she is working aligns with her values, as she is clearly someone who offers a lot to her art and is willing to sacrifice for her career, including the freedom of an eccentric hairstyle
