Justin Timberlake has been a household name for a long time, but not everyone recognized him right away. According to a new report, the police officer who arrested the 43-year-old artist Everything I Thought It Was on charges of driving under the influence, initially did not know who he was.

«At first, the police officer didn’t know who he was», - Page Six reported earlier this week. Then a source claimed that Justin was concerned about how the arrest would affect his tour, The Forget Tomorrow World Tour.

«Justin muttered to himself, 'This will ruin the tour,'» claimed an insider. «The officer replied, 'What tour?' Justin said, 'The world tour.'»

On Tuesday, June 18, Justin was arrested and taken to the Sag Harbor police station in Long Island, New York, for alleged driving under the influence and two traffic violations: failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to stay in his lane.

According to numerous sources, the arresting officer noted in the complaint against Justin that the NSYNC member’s eyes were «red and glassy», - «he had slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet, and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests».

Furthermore, the officer revealed that the singer of «Mirrors» refused three times to take a breathalyzer test.

Justin was then arrested in the early hours of Tuesday and released later the same day. He is scheduled to appear in court in July.

It is unclear whether Justin’s arrest will affect his tour. He is still scheduled to perform in Chicago on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22. He is expected to return to New York next week to perform at Madison Square Garden.

Justin has not yet publicly commented on his arrest. However, the pop singer’s lawyer, Edward Berk Jr., told Hollywood Life, «I will have a lot to say at the appropriate time, but right now I am awaiting full disclosure from the prosecution. I look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these charges»
