Justin Timberlake didn’t need a car to stroll around New York City while attending golf lessons. According to photos published by Page Six on Thursday, June 27, the 43-year-old pop star was spotted in the Big Apple wearing a blue baseball cap, a graphic t-shirt, and sunglasses. Earlier this week, Justin performed at Madison Square Garden as part of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour.
The latest appearance of the NSYNC member occurred less than two weeks after he was arrested for alleged drunk driving by Sag Harbor police on Long Island, New York. Justin was pulled over for failing to stop at a stop sign and allegedly not staying in his lane. The arresting officer, who reportedly didn’t recognize the pop star at first sight, claimed that Justin had «bloodshot and glassy» eyes, «slurred speech, unsteady gait, and poor performance on all standardized field sobriety tests».
Justin was then taken into custody by the police and released a few hours later. He is expected to appear in court in July. His lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., provided a statement to Hollywood Life about the incident.
«I will have plenty to say at the appropriate time, but right now I am waiting for full information from the prosecutor’s office», - the lawyer said. «I look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these charges».
A few days after the arrest, the singer of «Mirrors» seemed to address the situation during a performance in Chicago. However, he did not directly discuss the arrest.
«We've been through the ups and downs, lefts and rights, and, um, it’s been a tough week», - he told the crowd. «But you’re here. I’m here… I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you keep loving me, and I love you back. Thank you so much».
Adding that his Forget Tomorrow World Tour is «just something that follows me», - Justin noted that he and his fans «grew up together».
«So many of you come up to me and say, 'I grew up with you, man,'» the performer of the hit «Bye, Bye, Bye» began. «I want each and every one of you to know that I grew up with you»
