Despite all of Dr. Dorfman’s success, he has had to face and overcome many obstacles. «Working with incredibly successful movie stars is always the biggest challenge because they don’t have a lot of free time, and most dental procedures require a lot of time in the lab», - he says.
Another major challenge Dr. Dorfman faces is when he performs procedures that require people to walk around with temporary constructions. He has to make sure the end product looks like the end product. Dr. Dorfman feels the pressure when dealing with celebrities, influential personalities, and people who make a living off their appearance.
Dr. Dorfman says, «I came from very humble beginnings, and my life mantra is to learn to earn, and then to give back».

He recalls, «One day, Howard Schultz, the creator of the hit ABC show Extreme Makeover, called me. It was one of the first reality shows! In the show, we took people who wanted to make drastic cosmetic and dental changes and made their dreams come true. He asked me to audition for the show, and I said, 'Oh, I have this demo reel. Will it work?' They had never heard of a dentist with a demo reel, and yet they hired me based on that!»
Today, Dr. Dorfman and his team at Century City Aesthetic Dentistry continue to do impressive work seen on television, and even treat a number of pro bono cases.
In the future, Dr. Dorfman plans to continue practicing dentistry for as long as possible. In addition to his practice, he is launching two exciting new brands this year. As the inventor of Zoom!
