Captain Kerry Titheridge from the show «Below Deck» hinted that the 13th season will be historic for the franchise due to unexpected changes. In an interview with Us, he stated that this season will feature changes that have not been seen before in «Below Deck».
Kerry discussed how the team composition will change, noting that he may need to reconsider some decisions. He expressed a desire to revisit key moments of the season to better understand how to manage the yacht. The captain has already noticed some things in the first episode that he had not realized before.
In September, Bravo presented a first look at the 13th season, where Kerry is in the spotlight on the motor yacht Azul V. This season sees the return of some fan-favorite characters, including chief steward Fraser Olender and second steward Rainbow de Roos. New team members are also introduced: chef Mo Vilomar, bosun Alex Wright, deckhands James Bishop, Matthew Fitzpatrick-Buck, and Jessenia Stiger, as well as stewards Kaylee Brown and Rosa Simms-Preston.
The 13th season will be the first time «Below Deck» returns to Thailand since 2019. Kerry noted that this is a unique part of the world, different from the Caribbean and Norway, and he would like to experience the atmosphere of a country often referred to as the «Land of Smiles».
However, the captain has faced challenges due to the yacht’s old equipment and unpredictable weather in Thailand. He emphasized that the weather can change very quickly, creating serious problems. Kerry pointed out that, unlike the Caribbean and the U.S., he did not have «advance warning» about approaching storms, which complicated planning.
«Below Deck» airs on Bravo on Mondays at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. New episodes are available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
