Pregnant blogger Karissa Collins admitted that she is experiencing «fear» after several miscarriages. On her Instagram on October 10, 2023, the 42-year-old mother of 11 wrote, «No one talks about the anxiety when you find out you’re pregnant after loss. The fear of being too joyful is real». She added that the family decided not to tell the children about the pregnancy until they could see the baby on an ultrasound at nine weeks, but her belly started growing faster than expected, and the children figured it out sooner than planned.
Karissa, who announced her pregnancy with her 12th child last month, accompanied her words with a video from the moment she and her husband Mandray Collins learned about the addition to their family on July 13. She noted that she was in complete shock and prayed for her future child every day.
This news comes after Karissa shared on social media in June 2025 that she had a miscarriage during her pregnancy with her 12th child. In a TikTok video posted on July 17, 2025, she mentioned that she might still be pregnant but with a «missed miscarriage».
Karissa has previously spoken openly about other pregnancy losses. The Collins family began their public career by sharing everyday videos on YouTube since 2017. After the news of the miscarriage, Karissa became more well-known when she posted a video of her younger children playfully touching her belly. This video, which was later deleted, sparked widespread public reaction, to which Karissa responded by stating that she does not seek scandals and does not use clickbait. She emphasized that her goal is to share a message of trusting God in matters of motherhood.
