The first report of Carrot Top’s alleged suicide attempt came from TMZ. According to TMZ, the comedian’s legal team claims that a man named Brian Evans attempted to extort money from him for a sex video. In a court document filed in early September, Carrot Top’s team stated that Evans demanded $ 500,000 in exchange for not filing the video in court, where it would become a public document.
Evans denied the allegations in an interview with TMZ, stating that he never threatened to publish the video in exchange for a settlement. He also noted that the video was deleted in accordance with a previous agreement. Evans expressed hope that Scott would recover, adding that he has no intention of causing him harm.
Carrot Top has been working as a comedian for over 40 years and holds the longest-running comedy residency in Las Vegas. According to Page Six, his weekend shows at Luxor have been canceled.
