FBI Director Kash Patel announced his engagement to country singer Alexis Wilkins. He shared the news via social media platform X on Sunday, October 4.
Alexis, 27, posted a black-and-white photo of the couple smiling, with her showing off her engagement ring. In the caption, she wrote: «We went and got engaged 💍❤️», - which Patel also reposted.
The couple began dating in January 2023. Earlier this year, Wilkins defended her participation in a performance at the Great American State Fair, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States, after some suggested she got the gig due to her connection with Patel, who is a member of Donald Trump’s administration. In June, she stated that she has been a country musician for many years and that her accomplishments should not be diminished for the sake of sensationalism.
Wilkins also noted that she was invited to perform at the event of her own accord and is not being paid for it. She emphasized that the celebration is not funded by taxpayers and that she will not tolerate false accusations that undermine her work and achievements.
Some artists have declined to participate in the Great American State Fair due to their association with Trump, including Martina McBride and Bret Michaels.
