Kate Hudson revealed all about her love life in an interview on Wednesday, May 22. During the podcast «Call Her Daddy», - the 45-year-old actress called herself «very modest», - «never too rebellious», - or «completely obsessed with boys», - growing up in her home.

«My parents loved to have fun, and we saw how they enjoyed life, laughed with friends, sometimes talked about inappropriate things», - Kate explained. «But the secret of connection and the reasons why we connect with people were never hidden».

The actress experienced both highs and lows in her personal life. Her therapist advised her not to date men for a year, Kate noted during the interview. «I look back on my life as a whole and think, 'I really feel like I could have done everything right,'» Kate said. «For me, having the means and the ability to choose to be healthier in relationships means that it was easier for me to get out of unhealthy relationships».

This period of dating detox began before the star of «How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days» got engaged to Danny Fujikawa.

«If I hadn’t done that [year without men], I would never have ended up with Danny», - Kate expressed her thoughts. «He's just such a good person. I’m not sure I was attracted to good men… I had an attraction to good men, but to complicated ones… I love tumultuous… wild, while Danny has that in him. His values are very strong, and he’s such a sweet person. I don’t think I would have allowed this if I hadn’t spent those 3 years just happily living alone».

Before happily getting engaged to Danny, Kate faced problems in her previous marriage to Chris Robinson. «It was a whirlwind. We got engaged after four months, married after nine months. Then, [after] three years, I wanted a child», - Kate said. «Then the downward spiral began».

The former couple married in December 2000, and in January 2004, they welcomed their son, Ryder. They announced their divorce in August 2006. In November of the same year, Chris filed for divorce. Despite how the relationship with her ex-husband could have ended, Kate noted: «For me, it’s more peaceful, which makes it more peaceful for my children».

During the interview for «Call Her Daddy», - the actress of «Bride Wars» later explained to host Alex Cooper how she realized that in past relationships, some exes had looked through her phone.

Kate also explained that she was on the other end of the situation — looking through someone else’s phone. She added: «Any girl who says, 'I would never,' is lying. If a guy behaves suspiciously and doesn’t tell you the truth, you think, 'No, I need concrete evidence.' People wonder why women have to rule the world. Because we are incredibly resourceful»
