In the new episode of the show «ER: Caught on Camera», - viewers will meet Kayla from Kentucky, whose family beach trip ended with unexpected consequences — she ended up in the burn unit due to a severe sunburn.
In an exclusive clip presented by «Extra», - Kayla recounts how she and her cousin noticed the burn while at a store. Her cousin pointed out that large yellow blisters were visible through her T-shirt. Kayla recalls that her T-shirt had stuck to her skin, and when her cousin tried to lift it, she accidentally scratched her back.
Upon returning home, Kayla’s sister had to cut the T-shirt off her. «It was absolutely awful», - she says, adding that she couldn’t sit or stand due to the pain. Doctor J. Mac Slaughter commented on the situation, noting that ultraviolet radiation burns damage the outer layer of the skin, which can lead to serious consequences.
The episode will air on Wednesday, October 7, at 9:00 PM Eastern Time on TLC.
