Kylie Kelsey apologized for how she referred to Kate Middleton in an episode of her podcast «Not Gonna Lie», - which was released on September 24. In a new episode that came out on October 1, Kelsey, 34, admitted that she did not know that calling Princess Catherine «Princess Kate» was offensive.
«I love to learn, and I didn’t know that it was wrong. Now I know and will act accordingly. I apologize for the mistake. I want to address people with respect», - Kelsey said. She added that she will refer to Kate as «Princess Catherine» or «Princess of Wales» and promised to correct herself immediately.
In the original episode, Kelsey invited Kate Middleton to her podcast, noting that the princess «is still the best at field hockey». Kelsey also praised Kate for looking «wonderful» during the game. She emphasized that although Kate played shinty, she considers it a win for field hockey, as that sport was in Kate’s past.
Kelsey also noted that she and Kate share common interests and expressed a desire for the princess to come on the podcast to discuss hockey and children. Kylie’s husband, Jason Kelsey, met Prince William at a Taylor Swift concert in London in June 2024, and later the Kelsey brothers interviewed the prince for their podcast «New Heights».
