Kylie Minogue is opening a new, very personal chapter in her life. In her new Netflix documentary titled «Kylie», - the Grammy-winning artist revealed that she was secretly diagnosed with cancer for the second time in 2021, more than 15 years after her first battle with breast cancer in 2005.

Reflecting on why she chose not to share her diagnosis, Kylie admitted, «I didn’t feel obligated to tell the world about it, and in fact, I just couldn’t at that moment because I was just a shadow of myself. At one point, I didn’t want to leave the house». She added that while the song «Padam Padam» significantly revived her career, behind the scenes, she was still quietly struggling with her issues. «Cancer wasn’t just an episode in my life», - Kylie said. «I really wanted to share what happened to let it go».

Kylie is now 57 years old. She was born on May 28, 1968, in Melbourne, Australia.

Kylie was first diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005 at the age of 36. She underwent surgery and chemotherapy before being declared cancer-free in 2006. In her new Netflix documentary «KYLIE», - set to release in 2026, she revealed that at the beginning of 2021, she was secretly diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time following a routine check-up.

Kylie also emphasized the importance of regular screenings and support systems for those facing similar challenges. «There are so many people for whom cancer is a part of life, and I understand that; you just want to move on and leave it in the past or set it aside», - she said. «But screenings are incredibly important. It can be scary and triggering, but please remember how vital it is, and seek help if you need it; you are not alone»
