At the time of publication, the show’s parent company, NBCUniversal, had not publicly announced any plans to shut it down.
However, Page Six reported that Kelly Clarkson’s departure is «inevitable» and that «the show is unlikely to continue».
«This is a lot of work, and looking at the state of daytime television, it’s already an unstable model», - one source told the publication on January 19, 2026.
Another insider added, «People are jumping to conclusions… Nothing has been decided yet, and there’s still a long season ahead».
Last year, Kelly paused her talk show several times, and it later became known that the reason for this was the declining health of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. He passed away on August 7, 2025, from melanoma, a form of skin cancer. The former couple was married from 2013 to 2022.
