Kelly Clarkson complained about poor treatment at a store in Brooklyn
Kelly Clarkson shared on social media an incident that occurred in a store in Brooklyn, where, according to her, she received poor service. She wrote on X that she arrived at the store intending to make a purchase but was met with distrust and disrespect from the staff.

Clarkson noted that she was looked at as if she could not afford to shop, and one of the employees suggested finding something «comparable» for her. In her post, she expressed her dissatisfaction, stating, «You just lost a huge sale». She also encouraged her followers to visit the Art of Play store in Brooklyn if they enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts' character in the movie «Pretty Woman».

Many fans and friends of Kelly supported her, including Ingrid Casares, who recounted a similar incident involving Madonna, when the singer was denied entry to a club in Miami due to a lack of identification.

The store responded to the incident via Instagram, posting a story with a positive review from another customer who felt welcomed and respected there. This case reminded people of the situation with Oprah Winfrey, who was denied service in Zurich due to the assumption that she could not afford an expensive handbag.

Kelly Clarkson has been living in New York City since 2023 and recently left her successful show to spend more time with her children. Her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away from cancer at the age of 48 just over a year ago.
