Kelly Clarkson involved in scandal with store in Brooklyn

Kelly Clarkson has found herself at the center of a dispute with the owners of the Art of Play store in Brooklyn, which was reportedly captured on surveillance cameras. The footage in question was shared on the podcast «Pablo Torre Finds Out» on October 13.
The video allegedly shows Clarkson entering the store on October 10 around 2:50 PM Eastern Time. A woman in a large yellow t-shirt and a gray baseball cap is seen paying attention to a mechanical bird named «Molly» and interacting with a store employee. Podcast host Pablo Torre and his co-host Wyatt Senaka comment that the interaction lasted only a few seconds before Clarkson continued to browse the store.
The footage shows the salesperson pointing to a wall opposite the bird, but Clarkson, turning her back, does not notice his gesture. Later, she returns two items to the shelves and heads toward the exit, during which, according to Senaka, she makes animated gestures toward another store employee. Clarkson leaves the store, leaving the salesperson puzzled.
Clarkson later wrote on social media that she was «looked at like she couldn’t afford it» and added that the store lost a significant sale due to such treatment. In response, the store published positive customer reviews and denied the singer’s claims, to which Clarkson called them «liars». At the time of publication, requests to Clarkson’s representative regarding the alleged video went unanswered.
