Kendrick Lamar responded to Drake’s diss tracks «Push Ups» and «Taylor Made Freestyle» with his own track on Tuesday, April 30th. Kendrick, 36, released a song called «Euphoria» in which he addressed Drake, 37, expressing many grievances towards the rapper and delivering a scathing response. «I know you’re a master of manipulation and a habitual liar too/But don’t speak lies about me, and I won’t speak the truth about you», - raps Kendrick at the end of the opening verse.

After this line, the rhythm speeds up, and Kendrick references Drake using artificial intelligence to change his voice to sound like Tupac Shakur in his track «Taylor Made Freestyle». «Someone told me you have a ring, I swear to God, I’m ready to double down/I'd rather do that than let a Canadian guy make Pac turn in his grave», - he raps.

Kendrick also mocks the opening verse that sparked controversy with J. Cole in Drake’s verse on the song «First Person Shooter», - where Cole referred to himself, K. Dot, and Drizzy as the current «Big Three» of rap. Kendrick once again asserts himself as the best. «There are three GOATS left, and I saw two of them kissing and hugging on stage», - he raps. «The crown is heavy, yes».

As the song progresses, Kendrick attacks Drake for his past disagreements with Pusha T, which culminated in the release of the shocking track «The Story of Adidon», - revealing that Drake has a son he had not publicly acknowledged. In «Euphoria», - K. Dot goes further and criticizes Drake’s parenting abilities, seemingly accusing him of being absent in his son’s life. «I have a son who needs to be raised, but I see you know nothing about that», - he raps.

The tensions between Drake and Kendrick may have been simmering for some time, but they truly ignited when Kendrick responded to a mention in «First Person Shooter» with a guest verse on Metro Boomin and Future’s song «Like That», - released on March 22nd. Cole responded with a diss track called «7 Minute Drill», - which he quickly disavowed. Shortly before Cole retracted his song, Drake’s track «Push Ups» leaked, and he officially released it along with «Taylor Made Freestyle» on April 19th. The rapper from «Views» removed «Taylor Made Freestyle» after Tupac’s estate issued a statement about possible legal action due to Drake using artificial intelligence to imitate the late rapper’s voice
