The 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards ceremony, hosted by Fat Joe for the third consecutive time, officially concluded. Although the ceremony took place last week in Las Vegas, it was aired on Tuesday evening.
Rapper Kendrick Lamar achieved a major victory, taking home an impressive eight awards, including Song of the Year and Artist of the Year, despite not being present at the event. Other notable winners included Nicki Minaj for Hip-Hop Album of the Year, Sexy Red as Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist, and Missy Elliott for Best Live Performer.
Travis Scott, known for his hit «Highest in the Room», - received the I Am Hip Hop Award, recognizing his contributions as a producer and artist over the past decade. Accepting his prize, he shared: «I've always had this idea and vision to take the sound and elevate things to a new level. I’m so glad we made it here. I want everyone to know that where you come from really doesn’t matter, what happens in your mind can elevate you to the next level and beyond».
