Caroline Stanbury from «Real Housewives of Dubai» wants to be honest about her weight loss journey. In the May 22 episode of her podcast «Uncensored and Uncensored with Caroline Stanbury», - the Bravo star revealed that she used the drug Ozempic during a «midlife crisis» she experienced at 45.
«After 40, everyone knows it’s very difficult to lose weight. But I met so many women in their 40s who asked, 'How did you do it?' And I don’t want to lie to you», - said Caroline, 48, on her podcast. «I used Ozempic, which, in my opinion, is one of the best tools if you have the opportunity to use it. What did Kate Moss say? 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.' There’s something to that».
Although Caroline did not disclose how much weight she lost, the founder of Bust the Label said, «I know what I was like before, and now I am truly happy».
In her latest podcast episode, Caroline was joined by her husband, Sergio Carrallo. Discussing health and well-being, the footballer said he believes his wife has found her balance. «We try to maintain balance», - he added. «If we had a heavy dinner, we try to fast a little until breakfast».
Caroline replied, «Sergio loves to eat and doesn’t want to eat alone. I don’t need as much food as Sergio».
This is not the first time Caroline has shared her experience using Ozempic. In September 2023, she admitted to using the drug after the IVF process caused her to «gain weight».
«I did it to lose weight after treatment», - she explained on her podcast. «It wasn’t natural for my body to bring me back exactly to what I was before. I don’t think anyone should be judged for this. It’s a way to reclaim your life».
Although Ozempic has helped many people lose weight, this type 2 diabetes drug has been approved by the FDA to lower blood sugar levels. Ozempic is also approved to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or death in adults with type 2 diabetes and known heart disease.
The second season of «Real Housewives of Dubai» airs on Sunday, June 2 at 9:00 PM on Bravo, and old episodes are already available for viewing on Peacock
