Apparently, Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration will include a star-studded musical lineup. According to a new report, country star and American Idol judge Carrie Underwood will perform at the January 2025 inauguration. But has the «Before He Cheats» singer commented on this report?

Find out everything we know so far about Carrie and the upcoming inauguration below.

Trump’s second presidential inauguration is scheduled for January 20, 2025.

Apparently, Underwood will perform at Trump’s inauguration. A representative from the Trump-Pence Inaugural Committee told Fox News that the «Blown Away» singer will perform «America the Beautiful» after Vice President J.D. Vance is sworn in. Shortly before that, Trump will take the oath of office as president.

Underwood publicly responded to the news, sharing a statement with the Associated Press, saying, «I love our country and feel honored to be invited to perform at the inauguration and be a small part of this historic event. I humbly accept the challenge in times when we all need to come together in the spirit of unity and look to the future».

Throughout her music career hailing from Oklahoma, she has kept her political views secret. During a 2019 interview with The Guardian, Underwood said she feels like «more people are trying to pigeonhole [her] into political places», - but she «[tries] to stay away from politics, if possible, at least in public statements, because no one wins».

«Everyone is trying to simplify everything and finish it off as if it’s black and white. And it’s not», - Underwood insisted at the time. She then pointed to speculation regarding the message of her song «The Bullet», - which some fans believed was about gun control, but it’s «more about lives that have changed because of a terrible event», - explained Underwood to the publication.

«It really annoys me when people take a song or something I’ve said and try to tie me to one side or something», - noted the Grammy winner. «It's a discussion — a long discussion».

Christopher Macchio will perform the anthem after Trump takes the oath of office, according to Newsweek. As seen on his Instagram page, Macchio has performed at and/or attended several conservative events.

Other performers include the combined choir of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, who will provide a musical prelude to the inauguration, and the United States Marine Corps Marching Band
