Carrie Ann Inaba defends Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy
Judge of the show «Dancing with the Stars» Carrie Ann Inaba defended her Season 35 partners Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy. In comments on an Instagram post, she noted that dancers are physical beings and urged not to distort their relationship. «Don't try to turn this into something else. Respect Jenna and Val and their partners», - Inaba wrote.

Her words came after some fans on social media claimed that Dewan and Chmerkovskiy were behaving too intimately, considering their relationships with other people—Dewan's fiancé, Steve Kazee, and Chmerkovskiy’s wife, Jenna Johnson. Kazee also defended the couple, writing in the comments: «They have no chemistry. They have too much chemistry. Respect my queen’s name and at least pronounce it correctly when you try to slander her».

A few days ago, Dewan and Chmerkovskiy performed at a night dedicated to Mariah Carey, dancing the rumba to the song «My All». The couple received 24 points out of 30 from Inaba and other judges and remained in the show, while at this stage, the couple Ciara Miller and professional dancer Brandon Armstrong was eliminated.

Dewan shared that the process has been not only physically challenging but also emotionally difficult. She noted that it is a «good challenge» that makes her feel more alive. Chmerkovskiy, in turn, is proud of Dewan’s progress and believes that difficulties make their achievements more significant. «Without those difficulties, you will never enjoy the true fruits of your labor», - he added.

«Dancing with the Stars» airs on Tuesdays on ABC at 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
