Kesha at Lollapalooza: the performance with a knife was more real than it seemed

Kesha’s performance with a knife at Lollapalooza festival turned out to be much more realistic than anyone could have imagined, including the singer herself of «We R Who We R».
«It seems that the prop knife went missing, and it was replaced with a real meat knife stolen from the kitchen», - the 37-year-old singer said a few hours after her performance on Thursday, August 1. «and I had no idea. until now. so watch it again…»
At the popular music festival in Chicago, the pop star waved a knife on stage while performing the song «Backstabber» from the 2010 album «Animal».
The singer limited the information shared in one tweet and did not mention who was responsible. Instead, Kesha seemed excited and pleased with her overall performance at the festival, sharing a large number of photos from the stage.
She even posted an image of herself kneeling on one knee on stage and holding a sharp kitchen knife in her right hand with the caption «new dating profile picture».
But the energetic performance, now perceived differently after the alarming discovery, raised questions about safety, especially considering that the singer waved the knife before pretending to strike her dancers.
One of the popular comments on Reddit read: «Why did they choose a REAL knife instead of a prop backup knife? Thank God nothing happened, as the knife was a central element of the song and part of the choreography was to 'strike' her dancers».
«Horrible. Why didn’t they tell her!!» — another user wondered why the artist was not informed of the change, which could have led to a terrible incident.
Another added: «This is so wild and incredibly dangerous, considering that part of the choreography involves her 'striking' her dancers».
«In addition to striking her dancers, she waves it in a hand that is wet from fake blood from the previous song», - another user pointed out. «If it had flown out of her hand and hit her dancers or the crowd…»
Lollapalooza, which debuted as a tour in 1991, expanded internationally in 2010, now with festivals around the world in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Sweden, France, and India. Headliners included Blink 182, The Killers, SZA, Megan Thee Stallion, and Melanie Martinez.
Other artists performing on Thursday in Grant Park in Chicago included Megan Thee Stallion, Hozier, Chappell Roan, and Tyla
